I'm John Farrier:
Graphic designer, painter and professor at the School of Art in Jerez, which I am currently retired.
I was born in Úbeda (Jaén). Having 4 years my family moved to Jerez, where I live until 1993, as of this date I move to Puerto de Santa Maria, where I currently reside.

My paintings are in what we call hyper-realism and is characterized by being mostly done with gouache, this technique rarely used in such embodiments, not ruling out the use of other (oil, acrylic, pencil, ink, etc.). .

All his work, illustrations and labels, pictures and posters, breathe love the composition, mastery of form and extreme perfection in the "finished." A finish that could be described as photorealism (and liked to call the first U.S. hyper), but we are not fooled by "labels" or by the heading. And if we say that John Blacksmith is a real hyper because we know that is not hyper he loves, but who can.
